ICT Consultant

Thanks for calling by - my aim is to say something about myself and what I do.

I am an ICT Consultant working in Education in the United Kingdom.

My Consultancy is based at S.Peter's Collegiate School, Wolverhampton, England where, until taking early retirement, I was a Senior Tutor, being:

Head of ICT and Business Studies
ICT Co-ordinator
ICT Network Manager
Co-ordinator for Initial Teacher Training.

S. Peter's Collegiate School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England, all-ability School for eleven to eighteen year olds. The school was founded in 1847 in buildings adjacent to S. Peter's Collegiate Church in Wolverhampton town centre. It moved to the present extensive green site at Compton Park in 1965.

S. Peter's is the oldest established educational institution currently in the state sector in Wolverhampton, with a tradition of academic, cultural and sporting excellence nourished by Christian spiritual and moral values.

Brian is currently part of a team compiling the history of S.Peter’s school, soon to be published.

Brian Micklethwaite
B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc, P.G.Cert.Ed

Following a career as a Traffic and Transportation engineer, Brian has worked at S.Peter's Collegiate School, Wolverhampton, since 1976, initially teaching Mathematics and Science. With the advent of computing Brian was made Head of ICT.

Upon taking early retirement Brian was Senior Tutor: Head of ICT and Business Studies, ICT Co-ordinator, ICT Network Manager and Co-ordinator for Initial Teacher Training.

Brian now works at the school as an ICT Consultant with roles including

Staff training
Web design - Brian is School Webmaster
Managing the school's 'Moodle' virtual learning environment
Supporting the school's progress as a Specialist College
Working with the Art Department in film-making and animation
Working with school productions
